Where The Body Roamed

It’s important to understand where The Body was created. The environment found on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska where the church was founded turned out to be a highly hospitable to an underground religious group. Maybe the story would have broke sooner if headquarters were somewhere else. Another thing to keep in mind is the natural beauty that surrounded the cult at all times. This is a place where it’s not difficult to feel close to God.

In June of 2021 a small team from this website traveled to Alaska to find out what the locals knew about the organization. In addition to collecting interviews, it was important to create a visual document of the setting for this story. We captured a ton of footage of the scenery via drone.
